SOUTHERN EXPOSURE – BERMUDA

Built on a vacant lot in St. Georges, this new house was built for a family of six.  The challenge was to build cost effectively without sacrificing design or functionality.  The design respects the traditional forms and massing expected in a Unesco site like St. Georges.

Circulation space is minimized by keeping all four bedrooms clustered together on the upper floor, while freeing up the lower floor for living space.  There is a large kitchen and dining area, a den, and a large living room with a fireplace and bar to entertain guests.  Opulent finishes are used throughout.
